My child read this book with ease. The story line is beautiful and we fell in love with Addison and Alabama! We can’t wait until each new one comes out.
My 4 year old loves the book. She had so much fun looking for all the state symbols in the book. The illustrations are adorable and the story takes the character through all the seasons which adds a fun element.
In a world that is increasingly focused on the external, it's really refreshing to pick up a children's book focused on cultivating what adds value to the individual. Family, friends, creativity, nature, knowledge...instilling things that actually have the capacity to meaningfully impact a young girl's life --tools that will guide, comfort, protect, etc. along the way. These are the things that provide our children with a sense of self --something that cannot be found on a magazine cover, by how many likes a photo gets, how many followers you have on social media, etc. Planting this seed - & cultivating it - from a young age is invaluable. By the way, I bought the Alabama book in the series for my nieces & they're already asking what other states Addison has been to. I would definitely recommend this book, & look forward to the others in the series!
